Storytelling is the cornerstone of communication skills. It is probably our oldest form of spoken communication, and remains one of the most emotionally powerful tools for capturing attention and being persuasive. In the workplace, storytelling comes into play in presentations, pitches, meetings, and in day-to-day interactions by increasing memorability, likability, trust, cooperation, and generosity. This highly interactive workshop is designed so you can increase your skills as a storyteller to be a more persuasive communicator in your organization.
Rebecca Williams uses her background as a professional educator, writer, and performer to facilitate trainings, events, and workshops that have helped hundreds of business owners connect with their customers through creative brand communications and the power of story.
The daughter of an opera director, Rebecca has been performing on stages and writing for the theater since she was a child. After graduating university with a BFA, she went on to teach the communication arts for nearly two decades at educational institutions in Spain, Japan, Australia, Nepal, and in the United States.
She now works with business owners to create the building blocks of effective messaging by helping them get clear about what they want to say, and then teaching them how to say it in a memorable way.
Rebecca is a dynamic and passionate facilitator who loves connecting a room with humor. She still regularly writes, directs, and performs short form comedy for special events around the Bay Area.
